Hypnosis for Giving Up Smoking: A Powerful Tool for Kicking the Habit

As a hypnotherapist, I believe that hypnosis for giving up smoking is a really powerful tool to help individuals quit smoking. My clients have found again and again that it works.

But, let me let you in on a hidden secret.

It’s not my secret, but Matt Damian of Hollywood and the Bourne films fame.

He’s not the only Holywood celebrity who knows about this secret. How about:

  • Drew Barrymore
  • Britney Spears
  • Billy Joel

So just what is their secret?

They all used hypnotherapy to quit smoking!

Matt Damon went on the Tonight Show and here is what he said:

Jay Leno said, “Is quitting smoking hard to do?”
Matt Damon replied, “No, actually, I went to a hypnotist.”
Jay Leno “And did that work?”
Matt Damon replied “It worked. I swear to God it worked. It was the greatest decision I ever made in my life!”

These celebrities in the know don’t just use hypnosis and hypnotherapy to stop smoking, they also use it to lose weight, cope with stress, and stop overdrinking and working too much.

If this works for Holywood’s top celebrities, do you think it can work for you?

OK, so just how does this work?

During a hypnotherapy session, I guide my clients into a relaxed and meditative state, allowing their minds to become more open to suggestions. This state of deep relaxation, known as hypnosis, enables me to provide positive suggestions that help them overcome their desire to smoke.

Hypnotherapy to stop smoking - warwickshire

Numerous studies have shown the effectiveness of hypnotherapy in smoking cessation. It can weaken the desire to smoke, strengthen the resolve to quit and complement other strategies individuals may be using to quit smoking. One popular technique I often employ is Spiegel’s method, which emphasizes the idea that smoking harms the body and encourages individuals to respect their bodies by choosing to give up smoking.

However, it is important to note that hypnotherapy is not a magical cure for quitting smoking, and success rates can vary from person to person. Above all, you have to want to give up. If you do, then I can help you!

I have had the privilege of helping many people give up smoking. Still, it is important to approach hypnotherapy as part of a comprehensive plan that includes determination and other supportive measures.

Understanding hypnotherapy is key to appreciating its potential. It is a therapeutic technique that utilizes hypnosis to facilitate the achievement of personal goals, such as quitting smoking. Through deep relaxation and heightened receptiveness, individuals can engage with the power of suggestion and effect positive changes in their behaviour. Your subconscious helps you overcome your desire to stop smoking, it just needs a helping hand and this is exactly what hypnotherapy can do.

During a hypnotherapy session, I focus on inducing a state of relaxation in my client. By employing techniques like deep breathing, I help my clients enter a state of tranquillity, making them more receptive to hypnotic suggestions.

Hypnotherapy serves as a valuable tool that can aid individuals in overcoming cravings and developing the mental resilience needed to live a smoke-free life.

In summary, hypnotherapy is a safe and non-invasive approach to quitting smoking. I always tailor my treatment to your specific needs so that you get the best results. With your commitment and an open mind, hypnotherapy can be an effective component of your journey to stop smoking for good.

As a hypnotherapist, I am passionate about helping individuals give up smoking through hypnotherapy. Hypnotherapy is a widely recognised method to stop smoking that has been used for many years. It harnesses the power of hypnosis to facilitate behavioural change and supports my clients in their journey to become smoke-free.

It is important to approach the process with a clear goal and a focused mind. Commitment and a positive attitude are key. Hypnotherapy works by using positive affirmations and suggestions to help you stay focused, motivated, and confident in your ability to quit smoking.

During a hypnotherapy session, I guide the individual into a relaxed state where they are more receptive to suggestions. Positive affirmations are used to address negative behaviours and habits associated with smoking. Visualizations are employed to help clients imagine themselves as non-smokers, reinforcing the benefits of quitting smoking.

You will need consistency to listen to a follow-up audio recording for several weeks and have a willingness to make lifestyle changes to avoid the triggers associated with smoking. Hypnotherapy empowers you to develop the mental fortitude necessary to succeed in quitting smoking.

Ultimately, hypnotherapy can be a powerful method for stopping smoking for those who are committed to the process and open to the therapeutic approach. It helps individuals overcome negative behaviours, break free from smoking patterns, and achieve their goal of becoming non-smokers.

Three Weeks as a Non Smoker ! – Thanks Amanda !
After 40 years of smoking, AND enjoying smoking for all that time I was sceptical that I would ever stop (despite my wife`s comments about mortality and did I want to walk our daughter down
… More the aisle one day? and the cost of the habit these days ! (blah blah). It was time for something more radical.
Amanda at Springhill Hypnotherapy was recommended, and as gum and patches have not really worked (My record is 12 days smoke free)
I thought I would “Give it a go” as they say.
Hypnotherapy is not a “look into my eyes” or swinging pocket watch scenario but more of a relaxation and suggestion treatment by someone who has been trained and qualified to obtain the required outcome. I lasted about 5 days initially as I relapsed after a stressful day of work. Amanda was supportive and pointed out that this was a journey that may take some time.
Our second session was totally different for me and felt more relaxed and more receptive to Amanda`s narrative. In hindsight I realised that perhaps my sceptic outlook in the first session may have resulted in me not totally being “on board”.
Three weeks after our second session, I am now on board and actually in the last week have not been tempted or even thought about a cigarette which seems a bit odd, but hey, proud of Myself !
Springhill Hypnotherapy is working for me so far. Thanks Amanda!
